Just give me the full login form!

When websites ask for your email first and break your password manager in the process.

Every now and then, I encounter a website that asks for my email first, then takes me to the full login form with my email pre-filled. I never understood the reasoning behind this. Maybe they want to verify the email exists or is linked to an account?

Whatever the reason, if you use a password manager like I do, it won't recognize the form, so I have to manually type in my email. Thankfully, Gboard at least suggests my frequently used email. After entering it, the site finally shows the actual form, and my password manager can fill in the password.

It's genuinely frustrating. I could've logged in and been halfway through a movie by now, but instead I'm dealing with this tedious flow. Okay, I'm exaggerating. I'm not really annoyed about the time, but it's just a pain in the ass. Especially for someone as lazy as me.
